Breckenridge provides seemingly unlimited options for dining. Here are a few of my personal favorites.

Fine Dining (but dress is always casual !)
  1. Briar Rose Restaurant- $$$ 109 East Lincoln Avenue (970) 453-9948 THE place for prime rib as well as steaks, wild game, fresh seafood, pasta, poultry and vegetarian offerings. Continental setting, knowledgeable and friendly staff, separate bar and lounge, extensive wine list. Smoking allowed.
  2. Cafe Alpine- $$$ http://cafealpine.com/ 106 E. Adams St. (970) 453-8218 New menu daily. Cozy and intimate setting that feels like you are dining in someone's home. Menu features creative dishes with an international flair. Superb wine list and separate tapas bar serving unusual 'bar snacks'. Superb staff.
  3. South Ridge Seafood Grill - $$ 215 South Ridge Street (970) 547-0063 Fresh and creative seafood dishes, both traditional and exotic, plus plenty of meat and vegetarian options. Daily Raw Bar Happy Hour. Fun bar that always draws the locals. Patio. Smoking allowed at bar.
  4. Blue River Bistro - $$ http://www.blueriverbistro.com/ 309 North Main Street (970) 453-6974 Fresh pasta and Italian, great wine list and the ultimate martini list.
  5. Swiss Haven - $$ 325 South Main Street (970) 453-6969 Authentic Swiss cuisine. Fondue, raclette and rostis. Nice wine list. Fun.
Casual
  1. Fatty's Pizzeria - $ 106 S. Ridge St. (970) 453-9802 Local Institution since 1975 located in the old 'Devil's Triangle'. Pizza, pasta and burgers. Local color. Non smoking section. Deck/Patio. No reservations.
  2. Breckenridge Brewery - $ 600 South Main Street (970) 453-1550 Local beers, good pub fare, decent prices. Patio. Non smoking section. No reservations.
  3. Downstairs at Eric's - $ 111 S. Main St. (970) 453-1401 Another local institution. Pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and more. Very kid friendly. Arcade. Sports bar atmosphere with over 20 TV's. Huge selection of beers on tap and 125 in bottles from around the world. Non-smoking. No reservations, waits can be long.
  4. Charlie Dogs - $ 111 Ski Hill Road, below the Drug Store (970) 547-0350 Hot and cold subs, very filling. One of the only late night eateries (3am) on weekends. Take out or eat at the counter.
  5. Giampietros $ 100 North Main Street (970) 453-3838 Superb New York-style pizza and Italian dishes served up in a small storefront atmosphere. Locals favorite for takeout or a quick slice.
  6. MiZuppa - $ 422 North Park Avenue, City Market Shopping center (970) 547-4797 http://www.mizuppa.com/breckenridge.htm Daily changing menu of 8 hearty and creative soups, homemade bread and salads. Take out only. Yum-my! Breakfast
  7. Daylight Donuts - $ 305 N. Main St. (970) 453-2548 No frills breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, burritos, donuts, pastries. Quick pre-ski sit down fuel-up, or linger with the locals.
  8. Columbine Cafe - $ 109 South Main Street (970) 547-4474 Home-style cooking with wide selection of omelets, waffles, pancakes and eggs benedict, Breakfast all day. Great Brunch spot.
Coffee House
  1. Clint's Bakery and Coffee House - 131 South Main Street & 325 South Main Street Breckenridge, CO There are several coffee shops in Breckenridge, but I like Clints. Great coffee, bagels and sandwiches and to die for muffins.
